Freed-Hardeman University

Emerging from the Henderson Bible School, Freed-Hardeman University continued the training vision shared by David Lipscomb and evangelists in the Gospel Advocate network.

Named for A. G. Freed and N. B. Hardeman, the school equipped preachers, teachers, and missionaries for congregations across the American South. Through Bible lectureships, teacher institutes, and publications, the campus echoed the restoration ideals of unity, disciplined study, and evangelistic zeal championed by Lipscomb-era leaders.

Freed-Hardeman’s annual Bible lectureships and youth events knit together congregations that share the heritage of the Gospel Advocate, reinforcing the call to simple worship and vibrant mission.
